Januaris Kibet Lagat is an emerging paramedic professional and dedicated leader with a strong commitment to advancing emergency medical services and strengthening community health systems in Kenya. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Paramedic Science at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, building expertise in pre-hospital emergency care, trauma management, patient assessment, and emergency response, complemented by practical skills in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and coordinated emergency response.
Beyond his clinical training, Januaris has demonstrated exceptional leadership, currently serving as President of the Nandi Students Association – MMUST Chapter, where he leads a 15-member executive team representing over 500 students. His experience coordinating welfare services, engaging with health facilities, managing confidential case documentation, and working collaboratively with institutional leadership has strengthened his capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments. He previously served as Secretary General of the Association.
At Emergency-Taai, Januaris leads Monitoring and Evaluation, contributing youthful innovation, strong leadership, and a passion for improving emergency response systems, particularly for vulnerable populations including mothers and children. His dedication to excellence, community service, teamwork, and continuous professional development positions him as a valuable member of the Emergency-Taai team in delivering timely, high-quality, life-saving emergency medical services.
