Neonatal Emergency Specialist | Pediatric Response, Capacity Building and Community Development

Ikram Chemutai Murgor is a dynamic Paediatric Nurse Specialist and an emerging leader in healthcare innovation, community empowerment, and youth advocacy. She is currently advancing her professional expertise in nursing studies at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) while actively contributing to the MMUST Innovation Academy, where she has distinguished herself as an innovative thinker dedicated to developing impactful health solutions for maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health outcomes.

Her creativity and leadership earned her the Miss Talent Award at the Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) National Innovation Emporium in April 2026, recognizing her contribution to innovation and talent development. She has also been nominated as a Mental Health Ambassador, using her platform as an emerging model in Kenya to champion mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and inspire hope among young people.

At Emergency-Taai, Ikram serves as Neonatal Emergency Specialist, leading Pediatric Response as well as Capacity Building and Community Development. She brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, innovation, strategic partnership development, and community engagement — strengthening health systems through workforce capacity development, mobilizing resources, fostering sustainable collaborations, and empowering communities to improve maternal, child, and adolescent health outcomes.
